The eternal light

you are at a stop light and the light NEVER changes,
so after about 15 minutes of waiting you decide to
just go for it...I mean, it's dark, you don't see
headlights in either direction...who's going to know?
So, you go for it and woooooooooo-woooooooo (that's
supposed to be a siren) a cop pulls you over and
issues you a ticket!
